Hello! I'm Shira
I'm a 2018 graduate from the University of West London having achieved a 1st Class in BA Advertising and Public Relations.
A fast learner and team player with excellent IT skills and the ability to use social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Strong presentation skills as demonstrated working as a tour guide and through attending the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where I completed a Gap Year Diploma in Acting.
Have worked on a number of campaigns whilst completing my degree and have undertaken work experience working as a PR Assistant at THTC (https://shop.thtc.co.uk/).

I have won awards for each of these campaigns including `Most Creative`, `Best Use of Emerging Technology` and Adam&EveDDB and The Ideas Foundation judged the AA Driving School Campaign as the overall winner of a number of campaigns. UNIVERSITY OF WEST LONDON
I graduated from University in July 2018, having achieved a 1st in BA (Hons) Advertising and Public Relations. Throughout my degree, I studied a number of modules including Data, Research and Insight, Emerging Technology, Campaigns and Anti-Advertising and Disruptive Design. I developed a number of campaigns for various companies and helped to form a student advertising agency where we worked on live briefs for The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising, Axa Travel Insurance and The Jo Cox Foundation (winning awards for all three campaigns). I used Cision to access data and relevant contacts and overall I learnt to develop my copywriting, creative thinking, presentation and research skills.

I've studied acting for a number of years and therefore have learnt many important skills relevant to performing, including presentation skills, public speaking and acting skills.

River Cruise Guest Experience Host
Merlin Entertainments
I currently work on The London Eye River Cruise as a tour guide where I have to keep large audiences entertained and inform them about the various sites along the banks of the River Thames. My duties involve making sure that I keep my commentary relevant and up-to-date, scanning customer tickets, handing out electronic audio-guides to customers who can't speak English and ensuring the health and safety of the passengers on board. I'm also trained to deliver Champagne Experiences and Cupid's Capsules on the London Eye.

Attractions (Operations) Cast Member
Walt Disneyworld, Florida
I worked as an attractions operator for Walt Disney World Theme Park in Summer 2017. This involved operating the Magic Carpets of Aladdin Ride, the Tiki Room and the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
Whilst working there, I was responsible for the health and safety of the guests whilst ensuring that I contributed to making every guests' day more magical.
I took part in Disney's Cultural Exchange Program and whilst there was able to learn about different cultures and interact with people from all over the world.

I interned at The Hemp Trading Company, where I was given a lot of copywriting tasks. It was a very small team with only two employees and one other intern, so I learnt a lot during my time there as I had to help in all areas of the business. I wrote blogs, articles and social media adverts for the company, as well as designing new t-shirts and liaising with various media professionals.

I worked as an Au-Pair in Italy for two summers for the Belloni family. My duties involved looking after and teaching English to two children aged 8 and 10. During the day I was responsible for their wellbeing and keeping them entertained whilst ensuring that they were practising English.

PUBLIC SPEAKING
I am confident delivering presentations and talking in front of large groups of people. I have pitched advertising and PR campaigns to professional agencies as well as my classmates. I also work as a tour guide in London where I explain the sights of London to up to 250 people per cruise.

DIGITALLY LITERATE
I am able to use a wide range of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn to boost the profile of a brand. I'm also able to design a basic website, and use programs such as Cision to find appropriate contacts and to research brand perception amongst the public.
WRITING
I possess strong writing skills and am often assigned the task of being the copywriter when working on campaigns in groups. I am comfortable writing press releases, tag lines and essays and always support my work with reputable references.
